Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has opened up about how his busy touring schedule has negatively impacted his personal life.
In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, the Asiwaju crooner said his love life has suffered since he began touring extensively, revealing that things worsened after he rebranded his look by switching to a low-cut hairstyle.
“Being on the road has really affected my love life. It became worse after I went back to my black hair and low cut because these girls have been over rushing me,” Ruger wrote. “But deep down, I really wanna settle down soon.”
The singer also disclosed that constant travel has taken a toll on his relationship with his family, admitting that his packed performance schedule leaves him little time for loved ones.
“I hardly even see my family ‘coz trust me, I’m the most booked artist in this country. People want to see me on stage around the world. They want that Ruger sauce every month,” he added.
Despite the challenges, Ruger expressed his longing for stability and hinted at his desire to build a more grounded personal life.
The 24-year-old artist, known for hits such as Bounce, Girlfriend, and Dior, has become one of Nigeria’s most sought-after performers, with tours across Africa, Europe, and the United States solidifying his global fan base.
