Nigerian singer Ruger has addressed rumors of a rift between him and DMW boss Davido, insisting that no apology is owed.
The speculation began after Ruger publicly expressed admiration for Wizkid and his fans, leading some of Davido’s followers to claim the singer had taken sides in the ongoing rivalry between the two music stars. One fan on X even suggested Ruger’s career would stagnate unless he publicly apologized to Davido.
Responding to the claim, Ruger wrote, “And did Davido tell you I did anything wrong to him?”
In further posts, Ruger emphasised that he has no personal issues with Davido and believes the feeling is mutual. “I love Davido and I know he loves me too. People on his team still repost my stuff. I will never believe this agenda that he doesn’t fck with me except he says it to my face or publicly,”* he added.
Ruger concluded by joking that if Davido ever expressed displeasure, it would quickly become public knowledge. His comments clarify that the alleged tension between the two artists is based on fan speculation rather than reality.
