Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has reassured fans that Bruno Fernandes is in good condition following a heavy challenge in their 2-1 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Palace initially took the lead through a Jean-Philippe Mateta penalty in the first half, but the Red Devils turned the match around after the break with goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount. Fernandes played a key role in the comeback, assisting both goals.
The Portugal international went down late in the game after a strong tackle, raising concerns among supporters ahead of United’s next fixture against West Ham. Fernandes was seen in conversation with members of the coaching staff following the incident.
Speaking to reporters, Amorim downplayed the injury scare, stating, “It was a kick. I was shouting at him, we made a substitution in the end. He needed to talk to the bench but he said it was just a kick so everything is okay.”
