Actor Rotimi Salami has shared an emotional message of appreciation to the Nollywood community, acknowledging the overwhelming support shown following the death of fellow actress Allwell Ademola.
In a letter posted on Instagram, Salami thanked colleagues, guilds, associations, and industry stakeholders for rallying together during what he described as a deeply painful period. He noted that the response went beyond professional obligation, reflecting the strength of Nollywood as a close-knit family.
According to Salami, the presence of colleagues at the burial rites, alongside phone calls, messages, prayers, financial assistance, and behind-the-scenes efforts, provided comfort when grief felt overwhelming. He said these gestures helped sustain those most affected by the loss.
The actor also highlighted the dignity and honour with which Allwell Ademola was laid to rest, describing it as a reflection of the high regard the industry held for her life, talent, and contribution to Nollywood.
Salami expressed gratitude for every act of kindness, no matter how small, stating that each one played a role in easing their pain and ensuring the late actress’s final journey was marked with respect and love.
He concluded by praying for divine reward for everyone who offered support and wished peace for Allwell Ademola’s soul, adding that her legacy would continue through the unity and compassion shown by the industry.
Allwell Ademola passed away on December 27, 2025, after suffering a heart attack at her residence.
