The win stretched Rivers United’s unbeaten home run in the NPFL to 16 matches. Their last defeat at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium came against Bayelsa United in November 2024.
The result lifts the former champions to third in the table, while Tornadoes drop to fourth.
