The Rivers State House of Assembly has invited nominees for appointment as commissioners and members of the State Executive Council to submit their credentials ahead of the official screening and confirmation exercise.
The directive follows the recent dissolution of the State Executive Council by Siminalayi Fubara, marking the commencement of a new round of executive appointments in Rivers State.
In a Government Special Announcement dated March 3, 2026, the Assembly instructed all nominees to submit 40 copies of their curriculum vitae, along with photocopies of academic and professional certificates and proof of tax compliance.
The documents are to be delivered to the Office of the Clerk at the Assembly Quarters in Port Harcourt.
The announcement was signed by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi, who emphasised that the submission of credentials is a mandatory prerequisite for the screening and confirmation process.
The nominees listed for the exercise include:
Professor Datonye Alasia
Mr. Tonye Bellgam
Professor Temple Nwofor
Dr. Peters Nwagor
Mrs. Charity Deemua
Tamuno Williams, Esq.
Mr. Lekue Kenneth
Otonye TKD Amachree, Esq.

The Assembly said the exercise is part of procedural requirements to ensure transparency and due diligence before the nominees are considered for appointment into the state executive council.
