Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has accused her son-in-law, Senator Ned Nwoko, of instructing security operatives to have her arrested.
In a chat shared by Regina Daniels via her Instagram Story, Rita claimed the lawmaker allegedly ordered that she be taken into custody on or before next Monday.
Although the veteran actress did not provide details about the alleged directive or the circumstances surrounding it, her statement has sparked widespread speculation online, adding a new layer to the ongoing family controversy involving her daughter and the senator.
The revelation comes just days after Regina Daniels made a distressing post suggesting emotional and mental struggles. The actress expressed that she felt overwhelmed and on the verge of losing control.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy. I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense,” Regina said tearfully in the video, adding that she was “really crying in front of everybody.”
The mother-of-two ended her statement by hinting at a possible reconciliation, saying she “will go back,” though she did not elaborate further.
As of the time of this report, Senator Nwoko has not publicly responded to the allegations.
