Grammy-winning singer and entrepreneur Rihanna departed Los Angeles on Monday, hours after gunfire was reported at her residence in Beverly Hills.
The artist was spotted boarding a private jet at Van Nuys Airport, where her luggage was transported to a private terminal before departure.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when authorities say a suspect allegedly fired several rounds at the property. Police later identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz.
Suspect Arrested After Shooting
According to investigators, Ortiz arrived near the residence in a Tesla and allegedly discharged multiple rounds toward the house shared by Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky.
Reports indicate that roughly ten shots were fired. Bullet holes were later found in the gate of the property, while additional rounds struck a neighboring garage.
Authorities said the suspect fled the area shortly after the shooting but was later apprehended about 12 kilometers away. Her vehicle was also recovered by police.
No Injuries Reported
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
Officials say Ortiz has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder as the investigation continues. Bail has reportedly been set at more than $10 million.
Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive for the shooting, and it remains unclear whether the suspect had any personal connection to the singer.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about the safety and security of high-profile public figures, particularly in residential neighborhoods where celebrities often reside.
