Nigerian music producer and recording artist Ezeh Chisom Faith, popularly known as Rexxie, has stirred conversation online after claiming that Seyi Vibes’ emergence on the Nigerian music scene was the result of deliberate planning rather than a spontaneous rise.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, the Grammy-winning producer stated that the singer’s success was carefully mapped out by his team, though he acknowledged that divine timing also played a role. According to Rexxie, the strategy behind Seyi Vibes’ career progression was intentional and well-coordinated.
“Seyi Vibes’ blow was an orchestration and a bit of divine arrangement,” Rexxie said. “It was orchestrated in the sense that those behind him planned it. It was well-planned. Let’s not deceive ourselves.”
Rexxie further alleged that Seyi Vibes and his camp once attempted to spark a rivalry with fellow singer Asake in a bid to gain attention, but the effort failed after Asake reportedly ignored the move.
“Seyi Vibes and his team even tried to force a beef with Asake but got snubbed,” he added, declining to share further details.
As of the time of reporting, Seyi Vibes has not directly responded to Rexxie’s remarks. However, the singer had earlier hinted at frustrations over being used for publicity. In November 2025, he posted on X that many people were exploiting his name for clout, suggesting discomfort with ongoing narratives around his success.
The comments from Rexxie have since fueled debate online, with fans and industry observers weighing in on whether calculated strategy diminishes or simply reflects the realities of building a successful music career in today’s competitive industry.
