Tension is mounting in Nairobi’s central business district amid growing fears over deteriorating security.
Social media is awash with reports of gangs terrorising residents, some allegedly armed with knives, others resorting to horrific tactics, including the use of human waste to extort money and valuables.
Central Police Station Subcounty Commander Philemon Otieno says police deployment has been intensified and is urging victims to come forward and file formal complaints.
