Remo Stars assistant coach, Sulaiman Folarin, has described Nasarawa United as fortunate following their 2-1 victory over the Sky Blue Stars in the rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 10 fixture.
Despite the loss, Folarin praised his players for their performance, acknowledging the difficulty of the match while emphasizing that the team remains focused on their ultimate goal of defending the league title.
“It’s a difficult day for us here, but it wasn’t a bad game altogether because both sides did their best. However, mother luck fell on Nasarawa United, and they grabbed the three points,” Folarin stated after the game.
“We lost many goal-scoring chances in the game, but we will return to our base to correct those grey areas.
“Our target remains to defend the league title.”
Folarin’s comments highlight Remo Stars’ determination to bounce back from the setback, underscoring their ambition to remain competitive in the NPFL title race as the season progresses.
