Having established a commanding 4–0 first-leg cushion, the Nigeria Premier Football League champions delivered a composed performance in the return leg. Alex Oyowah netted the decisive goal in the 74th minute from the penalty spot after a handball in the box, capping a professional display from Daniel Ogunmodede’s men.
The Sky Blue Stars had effectively settled the tie in the first encounter, where goals from Leonard Ngege, Ebuka Anthony, Adama Goïta, and Samson Olasupo showcased their attacking firepower.
Remo will now face South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns—multiple CAF Champions League winners—in October, a daunting but valuable test of their continental credentials.
