Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has voiced deep concern over the alleged arrest and disappearance of her younger brother, Sammy Daniels, whom she claims has been denied access to family and legal representation for over 24 hours.
The actress took to her verified Instagram account on Wednesday to demand answers from law enforcement authorities, urging them to disclose her brother’s whereabouts.
“Finally, some people now have a video that can make them think they can mock me, chai! But it’s okay. My entire focus right now is to know the whereabouts of my brother. WHERE IS SAMMY NED!!!” she wrote.
Regina further accused senior police officers of failing to act, expressing disbelief that even top officials have claimed their “hands are tied.”
“Imagine one of the highest authorities in the police force, or if not the highest, saying his hands are tied! Like, ogini bu ihe!” she lamented.
The actress, who has recently been at the centre of public controversy surrounding her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko, said the incident has now become a test of “power and willpower.”
“Now this fight is going to be power for power, or rather aura for aura. It’s such a pity. #FreeSammy. For the record, I don’t regret anything. Na only I carry my leg, but this was a route I was meant to take, not my final destination,” she stated.
As of press time, there has been no official comment from the Nigeria Police Force or Senator Nwoko’s camp regarding the alleged detention.
The development has sparked outrage among fans and rights advocates, with the hashtag #FreeSammy gaining traction across social media platforms.
