Actress Regina Daniels has publicly rejected a series of damaging accusations made by fellow wife Laila Charani, describing the claims as “scripted” and “hurtful” as the feud within Senator Ned Nwoko’s household intensifies.
Charani had earlier alleged that Daniels introduced her to illicit drugs six years ago and nearly pushed her into losing her marriage before Nwoko intervened. She also claimed the actress gives drugs to domestic staff and accused her of engaging in sexual relationships with women around the home. Additionally, she said she does not trust her daughters alone with Daniels.
Charani insisted she is content with the provisions her husband makes for the family, alleging Regina’s dispute with Nwoko stems from his push for her to stop using drugs and alcohol.
“The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction,” she said, adding that Nwoko does not tolerate smoking or drinking among his wives.
She reiterated that Regina had been “a bad influence” within the household, claiming:
“You infected everyone with your virus… I will not trust my daughters around you unsupervised, especially when I found out you were sleeping with every single girl around you.”
Regina Daniels Pushes Back
Reacting to the accusations, Regina dismissed Charani’s entire statement as something “Ned ordered his retarded wife to say,” calling the claim that children should not be left around her “the most useless and hurtful thing to say.”
Regina, who has two children with Nwoko, said she has always acted as a mother to several children in the family and found the allegation deeply unfair.
Addressing the claim that she “sleeps with every single girl” in the household, Regina neither confirmed nor denied same-sex encounters but questioned Charani’s certainty, suggesting it could only come from personal involvement.
“Truthfully, sleeping with the same gender isn’t something I consider shameful, but how is the other woman so certain? Is she so certain because I slept with her too?” she wrote.
Regina further alleged that Charani’s son has been involved in troubling behaviour she chose not to disclose, noting she tolerates the relationship for the sake of peace among the children.
The ongoing rift between the co-wives marks another dramatic turn in the public fallout within the Nwoko home, with both women levelling serious allegations. As of press time, neither Ned Nwoko nor his representatives have issued a fresh statement regarding the escalating dispute.
