Nollywood star Regina Daniels has expressed joy over the release of her elder brother, Sammy Daniels, who was granted bail after days in detention.
According to reports, Sammy was freed on ₦5 million bail on Monday, November 10, 2025, after meeting his bail conditions. His release followed intense online agitation under the hashtag #FreeSammy, which trended as fans and activists called for his freedom.
Reacting to the development, Regina shared a series of emotional posts and videos on her Instagram Story, including a video call with her brother. She thanked supporters for their overwhelming love and hinted that the experience had restored her confidence.
“People love me ooo, I no believe am walai, and that makes me emotional,” she wrote. “I love you so much my brother. Nobody go try beat me again. The kind love I have received during this period makes me feel good.”
The actress added that despite expectations of backlash, she was surprised by the public’s show of support. “Ned thought people would hate me. Make I no lie, for many reasons, belle dey sweet me,” she added.
Sammy’s arrest had stirred public debate after reports emerged that he was remanded on the orders of Senator Ned Nwoko, Regina’s husband. The case reportedly stemmed from social media exchanges amid the couple’s ongoing marital dispute.
Nwoko was earlier accused of domestic abuse, an allegation he denied, countering with claims that Regina was battling substance abuse, a claim the actress has not publicly addressed.
Sammy’s release appears to have brought some relief to the actress, who continues to face public scrutiny as her family dispute unfolds.
