Ingredients
- 200g Frozen Chips
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Golden Cloud Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 50g Cheese, extra for melting on top
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 4 Russians
- 1 tin KOO Mild and Spicy Chakalaka
- Chopped herbs for garnish
Method
- Fry/ airfry or oven bake the chips.
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Stir in the flour and heat through for a minute.
- Take off the heat, add your milk, and whisk to form a smooth sauce.
- Place back on the heat and whisk until the sauce coats the back of a spoon without displacing.
- Whisk in the cheese until melted into the sauce.
- Fry the onion until golden.
- Fry the Russians, chopping them into pieces once cooked.
- To serve, place chips on a plate, top with onions and Russian pieces.
- Then add cheese sauce and top with chakalaka.
- Sprinkle some cheese on top and grill until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.
- Garnish with chopped herbs.
