Raheem Okoya, son of billionaire industrialist and Eleganza Group founder Chief Razak Okoya, has stated that his achievements are the result of his personal effort rather than his father’s fortune.
Speaking in a recent interview on Wazobia FM, Raheem emphasized that he earns his income independently, insisting that every kobo in his bank account is made through his own hustle.
“Yes, of course, I make my own money. I work and make my money. Every penny in my bank account today is based on what I do, my sweat,” he said.
The young entrepreneur and entertainer admitted that although he hasn’t yet reached his ultimate goals, he is proud of his progress and content with the comfort his work affords him.
“I’m comfortable. It’s not like I’m where I want to be yet, but what I do can afford to feed me,” he added.
As the son of one of Nigeria’s most prominent businessmen, Raheem has often faced public scrutiny and comparisons. However, he said he remains focused on his personal journey and is determined to build a name for himself through hard work, creativity, and his passion for music.
Despite his privileged background, Raheem’s comments reflect a desire to define his identity outside his family legacy and prove that success, for him, comes from persistence and personal drive.
