Two people have become instant multimillionaires after winning the Powerball and Powerball Plus draws on Tuesday night in the biggest jackpot of 2025.
National Lottery Ithuba shared the news about the winners after the draw.
Winners
“Here are the dividends for the PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draw on 21/10/25
“We have a PowerBall jackpot winner of R163 552 190! and a PowerBall Plus jackpot winner of R31 018 628!,” Ithuba said.

Rollovers
The PowerBall jackpot for Tuesday surged to an estimated R160 Million, following 21 consecutive rollovers.
This makes it the largest jackpot this year and one of the top three highest jackpots in South African lottery history. The nation was abuzz as players across Mzansi rushed to secure their tickets for a chance to become the next multimillionaire

Biggest jackpot
Ithuba record books show that South Africa’s largest jackpot to date was R232 million, won in 2019 and was the biggest lottery win ever claimed on the African continent.
KZN winner
In September, a KwaZulu-Natal resident struck gold after winning more than R69 million in the PowerBall Plus draw.
Ithuba confirmed that the PowerBall Plus jackpot from Draw 1653, held on Tuesday, 23 September 2023, was won by a single ticket holder from Empangeni.
Winning ticket
The winning ticket was a R45 manual selection, purchased at a retail store in the town. The lucky player’s numbers delivered a staggering R69 284 942.70.
