Primecare Hospital has dismissed viral claims that Nigerian content creator King Mitchy died at its Abuja branch.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday, the hospital described the report as false and clarified that the influencer was never admitted to its facility.
Management stated unequivocally that King Mitchy “was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” directly countering widespread online claims about her alleged death.
The rumours gained traction on social media amid her ongoing dispute with online personality VeryDarkMan. Speculation intensified after reports circulated that she had consumed a substance identified as “Hypo.”
Earlier, King Mitchy’s management team had announced her passing, a claim that quickly sparked reactions across digital platforms. However, Primecare Hospital’s statement contradicts that announcement.
The hospital further disclosed that it is collaborating with relevant authorities to trace the origin of the misinformation. It also warned that it would pursue legal action against individuals responsible for spreading the false report.
“Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” the statement added.
The development has added another layer to an already heated online controversy, highlighting concerns about the rapid spread of unverified information on social media.
