President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
In a statement issued Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined Oyedepo’s family, congregants, staff of David Oyedepo Ministries International (DOMI), and the larger Body of Christ to celebrate the life and impact of the renowned cleric, describing him as a towering figure of influence in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond.
President Tinubu praised Bishop Oyedepo’s focus, discipline, and diligence, which have sustained his ministry’s global vision since its founding in 1982, with tangible contributions in infrastructure, health, and education across nations.
Highlighting his investments in education, the President lauded Oyedepo’s institutions—Kingdom Heritage Schools, Faith Academy, Covenant University, and Landmark University—as models of holistic human development, placing emphasis on knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurship.
“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings. Your steadfastness in the Word of Faith ministry is exemplary, inspiring the birth of many other ministries and leaving a resounding mark on key sectors of the economy,” the President noted.
He further commended the world-class standards of Covenant University and Landmark University, which he said compete favorably with leading global institutions.
Tinubu also acknowledged Oyedepo’s contributions to nation-building, citing his consistent preaching of faith, discipline, and service as values that continue to strengthen the moral fabric of the country.
“At a time when our nation draws strength from moral and spiritual leaders, you have remained a pacesetter and symbol of servant leadership for many to emulate,” Tinubu added.
The President prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Bishop Oyedepo, asking that he be granted long life, good health, and wisdom to keep uplifting individuals, families, and nations through the Word of Faith.
