President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commenced his 2025 annual leave, beginning with a 10-day working vacation in Europe.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency confirmed that the President departed Abuja on September 4 for France and the United Kingdom, where he will spend the duration of his vacation before returning to Nigeria.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today depart Abuja to commence a working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.
The vacation will span 10 working days, with the President spending time in both France and the United Kingdom,” the statement read.
The President’s latest trip comes just a week after his return from a two-nation tour of Japan and Brazil. He had earlier left Abuja on August 15, with a brief stopover in Dubai before heading to Japan.
While in Japan, President Tinubu attended the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama, held from August 20 to 22.
During the summit, he also held bilateral meetings and engaged with chief executives of Japanese companies investing in Nigeria.
Following the conference, the President proceeded to Brasilia, where he undertook a state visit at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
