Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has spoken out about the recent viral incident at the Port Harcourt International Airport, claiming it was a dangerous prank that nearly escalated into violence.
In a video shared on Instagram, the Zazuu Zeh crooner alleged that he was ambushed by individuals he described as “death pranksters,” who almost turned the encounter into a cult-related clash.
“Those people came to prank me. They were death pranksters. It almost turned to cultist level. Ten yellow no fit stand one blue,” Portable said in a mix of Yoruba and English.
The controversial artiste expressed frustration over how the situation was portrayed online, accusing bloggers of spreading misleading reports to attract attention and damage his reputation.
He also appealed to the federal government to impose a ban on prank videos and take stricter action against social media platforms that promote dangerous or misleading content.
Video clips circulating online show chaos at the airport as security officers and bystanders struggled to restrain Portable amid shouting and pushing. Some individuals were seen barefoot as the situation intensified.
Portable, known for his string of public controversies, has previously faced several high-profile incidents, including an assault case that once led to him being declared wanted by the police.
The singer maintained that he was the victim in the Port Harcourt episode and urged authorities to act before similar pranks lead to more serious consequences.
