Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has turned down a N50 million offer to participate in a proposed boxing match against streamer Carter Efe, insisting the amount is insufficient.
The challenge was introduced by music executive Soso Soberekon during a livestream session. Carter Efe immediately accepted the proposal and urged that arrangements be made for the bout.
Portable, however, demanded more lucrative terms before agreeing to step into the ring. He called for a luxury vehicle valued at N300 million in addition to the N50 million cash prize, bringing the total to N350 million.
“Soso, N50 million is too little. Give me N50 million plus a car worth N300 million, totaling N350 million and I will beat Carter Efe,” he said during the session.
The singer expressed confidence in his fighting ability, referencing previous celebrity bouts involving actor Charles Okocha and entertainer Speed Darlington, which he claimed to have won.
It remains unclear whether Soberekon will revise the offer or if the proposed match will move forward under new terms.
