Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed plans to further his education to improve his understanding of the music business.
The Zazu crooner, who already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, said his decision to return to school stems from a desire to better manage his growing music empire, Zeh Nation.
According to Portable, gaining more knowledge about contracts, royalties, and business operations will help him make informed decisions and maintain control over his career.
“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation,” he said.
The singer added that by deepening his understanding of the business side of music, he hopes to ensure his label runs more efficiently and is not solely dependent on external advisers.
Portable, known for his energetic personality and outspoken nature, has continued to evolve from street sensation to a self-made entrepreneur within the Nigerian music industry.
