Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has accused his father of taking his personal belongings and attempting to lay claim to his properties.
In a video shared online, the Zazu crooner claimed that his father’s reappearance in his life has negatively affected him, insisting that he was more stable before their relationship was rekindled. According to the singer, his father’s involvement has brought more trouble than support.
Portable alleged that his father did not play a role in his upbringing, claiming he received no assistance with his education or his tailoring apprenticeship, which he pursued before fully committing to music.
The singer further accused his father of taking his shoes and clothes and now making moves to claim ownership of his properties. He described the situation as emotionally and mentally draining.
“My dad’s presence in my life is doing me more harm than good,” Portable said, adding that his life was better when his father was not involved.
The allegations have sparked conversations online, with fans and followers reacting to the family dispute. As of the time of reporting, Portable’s father has not publicly responded to the claims.
