Plateau United’s technical adviser, Oluwasola Adegun, has voiced disappointment over his team’s display in their loss to Ikorodu City, insisting the performance fell short of expectations.
Ikorodu City claimed victory through goals from Joseph Arumala and Alade Balogun, while Wisdom Ndom registered Plateau United’s lone strike during the encounter.
Speaking after the match, Adegun admitted that although the opening half reflected the fighting spirit he expected, the team failed to sustain the momentum when they returned from the break.
“Not fully satisfied because in the first half we showed the character that we wanted to see but we didn’t come out well in the second half,” Adegun said after the game.
He added that the early stages of the second period proved costly for his side, stating: “The first ten minutes of the second half we let the game slip away.”
The defeat sees Plateau United slip further down the NPFL standings, now occupying 15th position with 15 points, intensifying pressure on the team as they look to recover in upcoming fixtures.
