PLANE CRASHES, bursts into flames at Kwale Tsimba area, Kwale County, shortly after takeoff: Police Commander Abdillahi Alio.
According to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), the plane took off from Diani and was headed to Kichwa Tembo when it crashed.
The aircraft had 12 persons on board.
“Government agencies are already on site to establish the cause of the accident and its impact,” KCAA said in a statement.
Rescue and recovery operations are underway.
The cause of the crash is still unknown.
