Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach, Vitor Pereira, has expressed satisfaction with Tolu Arokodare’s display despite their 4–3 Carabao Cup defeat to Chelsea at Molineux.
Wolves conceded three times in the first half but mounted a spirited fightback after the break, with Arokodare reducing the deficit in the 47th minute — his second goal in the competition this season.
Speaking after the match, Pereira praised the Nigerian forward’s growing influence and fitness.
“It’s normal because now he has more training with us. His fitness is better now than before, he understands what we need from him, and he is more connected with his teammates and he is ready to help us,”
Pereira told the club’s official website.
Despite the loss, the manager noted that Arokodare’s performance was a positive takeaway as Wolves look to improve their Premier League form.
