Popular TikTok creator and streamer Peller has voiced concerns about the relationship between Nigerian musicians and local content creators, alleging that many artists fail to support homegrown streamers.
Speaking during a recent livestream in Enugu, Peller said his interactions and collaborations within the industry have shaped his views on how Nigerian artists engage with media personalities.
According to him, only a handful of musicians show genuine support and kindness toward local streamers, while many others prioritise international platforms.
He claimed that some Nigerian artists prefer appearing on foreign streams and interviews, only turning their attention to Nigerian influencers when their popularity begins to decline.
Despite his criticism, Peller singled out a few artists he believes stand out for their positive attitude, including Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage.
He described them as among the few who have shown consistent support and respect for local content creators.
Peller also used the opportunity to call on Nigerian entertainers, particularly musicians, to engage more with domestic media and influencers, regardless of their international success.
His remarks add to ongoing conversations about recognition, collaboration, and the role of local platforms in promoting Nigerian entertainment globally.
