Nollywood veteran Peju Ogunmola has been thrown into mourning following the death of her only son, Shina.
The 24-year-old reportedly passed away on Tuesday while his mother was on a movie set. His death comes only a few months after he successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by popular filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi, who announced the tragedy in a Facebook post on Tuesday night.
“Peju Ogunmola loses a 24-year-old son. Her only child. Please, remember her in prayers,” Oloketuyi wrote.
As of press time, details surrounding the cause of Shina’s death remain unclear. The development has left colleagues and fans of the actress in shock, with many sending condolences and prayers to the grieving mother.
