Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has dismissed claims that he uses church funds for personal benefit, insisting that he has never accessed the church’s financial accounts or spent proceeds from ministry materials on himself.
The cleric addressed the issue during a recent church service, where he stated that his personal needs are met through what he described as divine provision rather than church resources.
According to Enenche, revenue generated from the sale of his books, CDs, and other ministry materials is not used for personal items such as clothing, accessories, or lifestyle expenses. He emphasised that church offerings and income are strictly reserved for ministry-related purposes.
He further explained that he has never been in possession of the church’s cheque book since the inception of the ministry, stressing that financial accountability remains a core principle of the church’s operations.
In his sermon, Enenche urged Christians to shift their focus away from material possessions and public assumptions, and instead prioritise spiritual growth, service to God, and commitment to the work of the church.
He encouraged believers to live purpose-driven lives anchored on faith, sacrifice, and dedication to the values of the Christian faith, noting that material pursuits should not define a believer’s walk with God.
Enenche also spoke against what he described as unhealthy fixation on wealth and appearances, urging worshippers to pursue what truly matters and align their lives with the principles of the kingdom of God.
The pastor’s remarks come amid recurring public scrutiny of church finances and the personal lifestyles of prominent religious leaders in Nigeria.
