Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has identified three players he believes the club can consistently rely on following their 4–2 Premier League victory over Brighton last weekend.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Bayern Munich and Manchester City player praised the performances of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Bruno Fernandes, describing them as dependable figures in Erik ten Hag’s team.
“If you think back to the first game of the season against Arsenal, that was a good performance, but they somehow lost the game,” Hargreaves said.
“When you’ve players like Cunha who’ve got real personality, I just love the way he talks and plays.
Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo, along with Bruno Fernandes, are guys that you can rely on and trust.
Manchester United are scoring goals and look dangerous — though they’re conceding more than they’d like; fourteen is a lot after nine games.”
The win lifted Manchester United to sixth place in the Premier League table as they continue their push for a top-four finish.
