Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to helping Nigeria qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria missed out on automatic qualification after finishing second behind South Africa in Group C, but will have another chance through the playoffs next month, where they’ll face Gabon, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Super Eagles are set to take on the Panthers of Gabon in the semi-final clash.
Osimhen, who scored a hat-trick in Nigeria’s 4-0 victory over Benin Republic in their last outing, said he’s determined to give his all for the national team.
“We need to work hard and fight for these goals. I want to be in the World Cup with my country,” the Galatasaray striker said. “My focus is here now. Next month is the World Cup playoffs, and I’ll help my teammates with my goals, assists, and everything.”
