Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly urging his Nigeria teammate Ademola Lookman to join him at the Turkish club, according to reports in the Italian press.
The Turkish giants are said to be targeting Lookman as part of plans to strengthen their attack, with Barış Alper Yılmaz likely to leave in the January transfer window.
According to news reports, Italian media claim Osimhen has personally reached out to Lookman, encouraging him to make the switch.
He reportedly told his friend, “Come to Galatasaray and be happy here!”
Lookman, who has endured a turbulent spell at Atalanta, has struggled for consistent playing time this season following a fallout with the club’s hierarchy over a failed move to Inter Milan.
The reigning African Player of the Year was briefly frozen out after going on strike in the summer but was later reinstated, making a four-minute appearance in Atalanta’s 3–0 win at Torino in September.
He has since regained a spot in the lineup, scoring his first goal of the 2025/26 season during Tuesday’s 1–1 draw against AC Milan.
Sources suggest the Nigerian forward is open to a move to Galatasaray if both clubs can agree on transfer terms.
