Nigeria’s Vice-Captain, Victor Osimhen, has dismissed any notion of pressure ahead of the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash in Morocco, insisting the squad remains fully focused and united.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Osimhen said “The Super Eagles are approaching this game with confidence rather than fear. For us, this is an opportunity, not a burden.”
The Galatasaray forward acknowledged the weight of expectations from Nigerian fans but emphasised the team is drawing strength from within. “We understand what our people expect from us, but we also believe in each other. That collective belief drives us,” he said.
Osimhen highlighted the squad’s journey to the semi-finals as a product of hard work and cohesion. “Our journey so far has been built on resilience, discipline, and togetherness. Now, our focus is on executing the game plan on the pitch,” he added.
