Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has reacted to Malcom Bokele’s red card during their Turkish Super Lig encounter against Göztepe at the weekend.
Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray sealed a 3–1 victory over Göztepe on Sunday. Bokele was sent off in the first half after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on the Nigerian forward.
Speaking to Ekol Sports after the match, Osimhen said he was unaware that the defender had already been booked.
“I didn’t know Bokele had a yellow card,” Osimhen said.
“His hand came to my cheek and hit me very hard. There was clear contact.
Our other opponent will start crying on social media, but in Europe, this play is a yellow card.”
Osimhen will now look to continue his fine form when Galatasaray take on Trabzonspor in their next league outing next weekend.
