Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has dismissed reports suggesting that Victor Osimhen has a release clause in his current contract with the Turkish champions.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal this summer after spending last season on loan under manager Okan Buruk. The club had reportedly paid €75 million to trigger the Nigerian striker’s release clause from Napoli.
However, speaking during a sponsorship press conference on Friday, Özbek clarified that Osimhen’s new deal with Galatasaray does not include an exit clause.
“Osimhen’s contract doesn’t include an exit clause,” the club president stated. “He’s an extremely successful player who will serve Galatasaray for many years to come.”
