The Action Alliance (AA) in Ondo State has announced a strategic partnership with the Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT) to back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The collaboration was sealed on Thursday at a high-level meeting in Akure, the state capital, between AA leaders and the pro-Tinubu movement.
Director General of PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele, hailed the alliance as a landmark development in consolidating Tinubu’s political support in Ondo. He said the joint effort targets the delivery of more than 80 percent of the state’s votes to the president in the 2027 election.
Obadele credited the breakthrough to the influence of Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Ondo APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin. He stressed that the coalition will focus on mobilising massive voter turnout, correcting the trend of low participation seen in past elections.
Highlighting Tinubu’s achievements, Obadele pointed to gains in the economy, agriculture, infrastructure, and other sectors, which he said would form the basis of campaign messaging.
He further explained that PNT will engage all eligible voters across party lines, describing the organisation as a fusion of seasoned politicians and emerging leaders bound by passion and energy.
