Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has disclosed that her commitment to personal values has led her to reject several lucrative opportunities that could have significantly increased her wealth.
The award-winning actress made the revelation while speaking during an appearance on the The Afropolitan Show, where she reflected on the choices she has made throughout her career.
According to the actress, some of the offers presented to her over the years had the potential to make her extremely wealthy. However, she said she chose not to pursue them because they conflicted with her principles.
Jalade-Ekeinde explained that staying true to her beliefs has always been more important to her than financial gain.
“If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been one easily,” she said during the interview.
The actress added that she had been in situations where compromising her values would likely have gone unnoticed, but she deliberately chose to walk away from such opportunities.
She noted that making those decisions was not always easy, especially when the financial rewards were significant.
Despite the sacrifices, Jalade-Ekeinde said she remains confident that prioritising integrity over profit was the right choice for her personal and professional life.
The mother of four emphasised that remaining authentic has been a guiding principle throughout her career in the Nigerian film industry.
