Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has spoken openly about a period in her life when she struggled with anger and aggression.
The film star made the revelation during a recent interview that has since circulated widely on social media. In the conversation, she reflected on how personal loss and family challenges during her younger years shaped her emotional state.
Struggles After Losing Her Father
Omotola explained that the death of her father deeply affected her and contributed to the anger she carried for years.
According to the actress, although she had embraced her Christian faith, she still struggled internally with feelings of frustration and questions about her circumstances.
She recalled feeling overwhelmed by the challenges her family faced after the loss, which led her to become impatient and easily angered.
“I used to be very aggressive,” she said, noting that the emotional turmoil stemmed from the hardships her family endured at the time.
Growth Through Faith and Maturity
The award-winning actress said she eventually overcame that phase through personal growth, faith, and life experience.
Omotola explained that maturity helped her better understand her emotions and manage them more effectively.
She added that while the feeling occasionally resurfaces, it is now rare and something she actively tries to avoid.
Reflecting on her journey, the actress said the transformation has helped her develop a more balanced outlook on life.
