Nigerian singer Omah Lay has raised fresh concerns about his mental health after disclosing that his depression has resurfaced.
In a series of emotional posts shared via Snapchat, the Soso crooner expressed frustration with the music industry, pointing fingers at contracts, his former manager, and his younger self for past decisions.
“Fk contracts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again,” Omah Lay wrote.
The revelation comes weeks after his split from long-time manager Muyiwa Awoniyi. While Awoniyi described their parting as amicable, label mate Kaestyle claimed the manager was sacked.
This isn’t the first time Omah Lay has opened up about mental health struggles. Following the release of his debut album Boy Alone in July 2022, the singer admitted that depression had taken a toll on him. Days later, he shocked fans further by revealing on social media that his condition worsened after he became involved with his therapist.
The latest outburst has left fans worried, with many calling for support systems to be strengthened for artists navigating the pressures of the entertainment industry.
