Nigerian rap icon Olamide has shed light on his relationship with Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, describing them as friends who can also be “troublesome.”
In a recent chat on Adesope Live, the YBNL Nation boss said the trio are “cool dudes” but admitted they don’t always see eye to eye on certain matters.
“Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy are all my friends, they are just too troublesome. They are cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things and that’s fine,” Olamide explained.
The rapper also addressed conversations around the controversial Afrobeats ‘Big 3’ ranking, which often places Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy at the top.
Olamide, who has built a career spanning over a decade with countless hits, said he isn’t concerned about being left out of the debate.
Instead, he emphasized that his priority has always been creating music rather than chasing titles.
