Nigerian influencer and luxury car dealer Waris Olayinka Akinwande, widely known as Ola of Lagos, has spoken out following the demolition of his car showroom, OOL Autos, by the Lagos State Government.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, drew widespread attention and sympathy from fans across social media.
Addressing the development on his Instagram story, the popular influencer expressed optimism despite the financial blow, assuring supporters that he was already making plans to rebuild.
“New showroom coming soon… Bigger and better, Insha Allah. We’re still active! We existed long before our physical showroom, and we’ll continue to thrive,” he wrote.
Known for his motivational tone and energetic online persona, Ola shared that the setback had not dampened his spirit. Instead, he described it as another test of resilience in his entrepreneurial journey.
“Omo, these calls and messages, thank you all so much. I’m good, I promise. I’m even smiling right now,” he said. “I’ve been taking losses for a long time, losses that could easily buy me a bedroom apartment in Ikoyi. But man just reflects, smiles, thanks God, motivates others, shows love, and keeps going.”
Ola of Lagos, who gained fame for reviewing luxury vehicles and showcasing high-end lifestyles, continues to attract admiration for his positive outlook despite setbacks.
As of the time of this report, the Lagos State Government has not issued an official statement detailing the reason for the demolition.
