Mighty Jets attacker, Okon Otop Eta, has expressed great joy after playing a crucial role in his side’s 2-0 victory over City FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Eta was the standout performer in the encounter, scoring both goals to secure all three points for his team in what was a crucial fixture for their 2025 NNL campaign.
The forward has now increased his tally to three goals in the league this season, underlining his growing importance to the Mighty Jets attack and his impressive consistency in front of goal.
The win marked Mighty Jets’ first victory of the current NNL season, ending a difficult run of results and giving the team renewed belief as they look to push further up the table.
Eta believes the victory will provide a much-needed confidence boost for the squad as they prepare for their upcoming matches.
“For me I feel very excited scoring my third goal in the league so far,” Otop Eta told the club’s media.
“We really worked for the win as a team and this win is going to give us the momentum to push forward for more.”
Despite the positive result, Mighty Jets currently sit seventh in the Conference C standings with three points from their opening matches.
The team will now shift focus to their next Nigeria National League fixture, where they are scheduled to face Kada Warriors as they aim to build on their new-found momentum.
