The launch of Gateway Air marks Ogun State’s entry into intercity air transport services aimed at improving connectivity, as the state government announces plans for the airline to commence flight operations to major cities across Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abeokuta by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, operations are scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13, with routes covering Iperu–Abuja, Abuja–Port Harcourt, Abuja–Calabar, Abuja–Jos and Iperu–Kano.
Flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The airline will also offer one-way economy fares starting from 100,000 naira.
Officials say the initiative is aimed at strengthening connectivity, improving movement across key cities, and expanding economic activity through better transport links.
Passengers have been advised to book early and follow official channels for updated flight schedules and travel information.
