The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced plans to prosecute popular TikTok content creator Ademola Abiodun, widely known as DJ Chicken, following a string of road accidents that have renewed concerns about public safety.
The ministry said Abiodun was involved in a serious crash on November 1, 2025, in Sagamu, where he allegedly rammed into two motorcycles, leaving a rider and a female passenger critically injured. Witnesses reported that he attempted to flee the scene before being stopped by bystanders.
According to the state government, the Sagamu incident was not an isolated case. Abiodun was also reportedly involved in a separate crash on Sunday in Lekki, Lagos State, narrowly missing pedestrians. The ministry noted that this marks his third road incident in two months.
“Mr Abiodun’s heedless return to the wheel with no greater care just three weeks after makes it imperative that the state must intervene to protect the public – especially as there is an organic outcry against his continued driving,” the statement said.
The ministry stressed that while traffic collisions are often treated as civil matters, some road users pose “special dangers to society” and should face criminal accountability.
To ensure swift action, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed officials to expedite the pending Sagamu case for prompt arraignment.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working with law enforcement to safeguard the public from reckless drivers and prevent further incidents.
