Offset, the former Migos rapper, was shot Monday evening near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, but his representatives confirmed he is stable and receiving medical care.
According to a spokesperson, the incident occurred around 7:10 PM in the valet area outside the casino. Offset was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, and his condition has been described as “fine” and “being closely monitored.”
Seminole Police confirmed their awareness of the shooting, noting: “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.” The spokesperson added that two individuals have been detained, the situation was quickly contained, and there is no threat to the public.
Witnesses reported that moments before the shooting, Offset was engaging with fans, shaking hands, posing for photos, and appearing relaxed near a casino exit. Shortly after, gunfire erupted, prompting an immediate response from authorities and paramedics.
Photos obtained by TMZ show emergency personnel arriving at the scene with flashing lights, while security and bystanders crowded the area. The timing of the ambulance matches the reported moment of the shooting, though it is unclear whether Offset was transported in that vehicle.
Authorities have not yet disclosed details about the motive or circumstances leading to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
The incident recalls the tragic shooting of Offset’s former Migos bandmate, Takeoff, who was fatally shot in November 2022.
