Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has reignited tension within the hip-hop community after publicly criticizing rap veteran M.I Abaga, accusing him of being a “fencist” amid his ongoing rift with fellow artist Blaqbonez.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Odumodublvck alleged that M.I was aware of a conspiracy against him but chose to remain neutral rather than take a stand.
“M.I_Abaga, as for you, the whole world will be shocked that I’m talking to you like this,” Odumodublvck wrote. “You stood in front of a blatant lie and decided to sit on the fence like Abuchi. I have lost every iota of respect for you.”
The Declan Rice crooner went further to accuse M.I of crafting a “good guy” image for public sympathy, claiming he no longer sees the rapper as a mentor or legend.
“You’re very good at portraying the ‘good guy,’ but one thing they didn’t tell you is that I don’t care about public opinion unlike you,” he continued. “Short man devil, you no be my OG. You are nothing but a rat. I bet you won’t reply because I’m saying the truth.”
Odumodublvck’s post sparked widespread backlash from fans and industry colleagues, many of whom condemned him for “disrespecting a legend” who paved the way for Nigerian rap.
As of press time, M.I Abaga has not publicly responded to the outburst.
The feud adds to a growing list of social media spats among Nigerian hip-hop artists, highlighting ongoing tensions within the country’s rap scene over loyalty, hierarchy, and authenticity.
