Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has said he is willing to settle his ongoing dispute with fellow artiste Blaqbonez, but only if an apology comes directly from his rival.
Speaking during a recent interview on Pulse Nigeria, Odumodublvck described the conflict as deeply personal, dismissing suggestions that it is merely a lyrical clash between two rappers.
“My rift with Blaqbonez is personal,” he said, adding that while his Christian beliefs encourage forgiveness, reconciliation requires genuine remorse. “There is nothing God can’t forgive. However, you can only forgive a contrite heart.”
The rapper accused Blaqbonez of attempting to downplay the seriousness of their disagreement through diss tracks. He also alleged that his colleague has reached out indirectly by sending prominent industry figures to mediate on his behalf.
According to Odumodublvck, those efforts fall short of what he expects. He expressed disappointment that Blaqbonez has not approached him privately to apologise, suggesting the hesitation is driven by concerns about public image.
“You are sending big artists to come and beg me but because you want to maintain a social image, you don’t want to apologise even in private,” he said. “Real men don’t behave like that.”
He further stated that he would not publicise a private apology if one were offered, rejecting claims that he might use such a gesture for publicity.
The tension between the two rappers has fueled conversations within Nigeria’s hip-hop community, with fans closely watching whether the dispute will escalate or move toward resolution.
