The rift within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is widening, with leaders aligned to the Edwin Sifuna faction rejecting any coalition talks with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The leaders accuse the government of attempting to infiltrate and take over the two-decade-old party, alleging that it is engaging the party’s top leadership in behind-the-scenes negotiations under the guise of coalition building.
They insist that ODM must field its own presidential candidate in 2027.
